Profile

Andrew has nearly 30 years’ experience working in the construction industry, of which 10 years at board level across national and regional construction businesses.  Since 2016 he has worked as a consultant within businesses to develop sustainable business growth.

  • Strategic direction and support in the management of the construction business.
  • Regional business planning and budgeting.
  • Reporting and presentations as main board member.
  • Full P&L responsibility and reportability.
  • Business development and marketing strategy and implementation.
  • Relationship management and active involvement.
  • Work winning – selection of targets, setting win strategies, process management and control, bid settlement and adjudication.
  • Leading and directing key regional and national bids and framework submissions.
  • Project delivery – focus on safety, quality and delivery to programme.
  • Setting of H&S strategy and direction, including training, auditing, trending and improvement initiatives.
  • Commercial management – including project margin plans, cost value reporting, final account management and strategy, involvement in the negotiation and agreement of difficult accounts (up and down stream).
  • Client feedback and improvement planning.
  • Sector analysis aiding business direction and planning.
  • Targeting of frameworks and key clients – developing strategies for success.
  • Staff management, training, development, motivation and direction, appraisals, recruitment, discipline and redundancy where necessary.
  • Involved in leading and managing business restructures and significant change management.
