HAL Easter Breakfast 2026

On 31st March, we hosted our annual Easter breakfast at Hewitt Associates, bringing together clients, colleagues, and contacts from across the construction industry.

It’s always a good chance to step away from the day-to-day and have a proper catch up. A mix of familiar faces and a few new ones, plenty of conversation, and a relaxed setting that makes it easier to build and strengthen relationships.

Alongside that, we use the morning to support a couple of local charities. This year, we collected 139 Easter eggs, which have since been passed on to Sunflowers Children’s Action Group and The Rock Foundation. Both do great work in the local community, so it’s good to play a small part.

Events like this are a reminder of how valuable it is to stay connected as an industry. A lot of what we do starts with conversations like these, whether that’s sharing ideas, understanding upcoming projects, or simply keeping in touch with the people we enjoy working with.

Thanks to everyone who came along and contributed, it’s always appreciated.

And that’s it – another fantastic festive breakfast done for HAL, and what a phenomenal morning it was!

An incredible 236 selection boxes were donated!!

Most will be going to Sunflowers Childrens Action Group to be distributed to the children attending the annual pantomime evening and Santa’s sleepover party night at the airport, but we’ve also made up a bag full to be delivered to Women’s Aid North East Lincolnshire another important and vital local charity.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and donated.

We hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas break after the hectic rush of what will be the final week before breaking up and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2026.

Geminor Waste Processing Facility, Hull – Official Opening April 2023

With close to 100 guests present, the Deputy Lord Mayor and Councillor, Kalvin Neal, and CEO of Geminor, Kjetil Vikingstad, cut the ribbon and officially opened Geminor’s new waste processing facility in Hull.

“The journey has been incredible, from the point of sourcing land back in 2018 and all the way up to the opening ceremony. Brexit, Covid-19, and the somewhat significant weather conditions sometimes caused challenges, but not more than we could handle. We are well underway in commissioning the facility, and look forward to operating in May,” says the project manager at Geminor UK, David Singh.

We had an incredible time at our Easter Breakfast on Thursday 6 April 2023.

The support we receive from our clients and colleagues is just fantastic and we are so grateful to our network who continue to enable us the opportunity to give back to our local community.

The amount of eggs we received was staggering and they have all now been delivered across the area to our chosen charities – N.E Lincs Down’s Syndrome Family Support Group, Grimsby Food Kitchen and Rock Foundation.

Thank you once again to everyone who gave their time to join us this morning, some travelling quite a distance to get to us here in Grimsby. We are very grateful.

HAL Festive Breakfast Christmas 2022

We had such a fantastic festive breakfast this morning and would like to thank everybody who joined us or sent in donations.

The Women’s Refuge were blown away with the amount of toys, chocolates and vouchers we were able to donate. Everybody was so generous.

The Grimsby Institute Group – A-Block teaching kitchen refurbishment

HAL are pleased to announce they have been appointed to provide principal designer services for the A Block kitchen refurbishment for The Grimsby Institute Group.

HAL staff have a long relationship with the campus at Nuns Corner in Grimsby having worked with them providing project management and cost management services since 2003.

HAL staff attended the MultiModal Exhibition at the NEC on 5th April 2017.

Now in its eleventh year, Multimodal is the UK and Ireland’s premier freight transport, logistics and supply chain management event.

Multimodal represents every logistics sector under one roof, making it a unique and highly valued industry showcase.

We are looking forward to meeting the majority of the UK’s Ports and Logistics people at next year’s event on 1st to 3rd May 2018

Haxey Community Centre

Hewitt Associates Ltd are pleased to announce they have been appointed to carry out an initial feasibility study comprising a detailed cost plan and whole life costs for the proposed new Haxey Community Centre.

HAL are working closely with the project architects, Building Link Design of Doncaster.
