Principal Designer Services under CDM Regulations 2015 and the Building Safety Act 2022

Under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) 

 

The CDM 2015 regulations place significant responsibility on clients to ensure that health, safety, and welfare considerations are integrated into the project from the outset. Clients must appoint a competent Principal Designer to oversee the pre-construction phase when more than one contractor will be involved. 

As Principal Designer under CDM 2015, HAL will:

Under the Building Safety Act 2022

 

The BSA 2022 strengthens the role of the Principal Designer, particularly for higher-risk residential buildings. It expands the responsibilities beyond health and safety compliance to long-term building safety and risk mitigation for residents once the building is occupied.

Under BSA 2022, HAL will:
